Welcome to our Winter 2023 issue! The out-of-this-world 'Our Space and Time' cover art was created by illustrator Alfie Whitby.
Our sonic screwdrivers are fully primed and ready for the 60th anniversary of Doctor Who and the stratospherically-awesome news that Scotland is front and centre of all of it! Our cover is a celebration of the wonderful Ncuti Gatwa as the new Doctor so we've got a lot of celebrating to do. We are also very happy to announce that Ncuti is our 2023 Unicorn of the Year. Discover who else is joining our Unicorns family inside the issue.
Somewhere: For Us 13 is a wee TARDIS in itself as you'll find plenty of Who-inspired features and illustrations fitting perfectly into our pages. This includes an interview with Scottish Doctor Who writer Rona Munro, alongside comedian Stephen K Amos, and Peter MacQueen AKA the Highland Hutter. We also have a magical short story from award-winning author Ely Percy.
Outer space and safe space are two themes running through this special issue, and we've chatted to some amazing community champions helping create spaces across Scotland where people are supported, respected and can be themselves. We find out more about three queer enterprises too.
