Welcome to our Autumn 2025 issue! Our 1970s inspired “We’re Here For You” cover art was created by legendary illustrator Kate Charlesworth.
Following our sixties Summer of Love a few months ago, we’re continuing our time travels, this time landing our Autumn mag smack bang in the decade that style forgot, the 1970s.
We’re looking at the decade where fashion took a turn, camp stereotypes were all over the telly, and where shoulder pads, patterned knits and processed foods and cocktails were all the rage. Beards were in, as were problem pages in our favourite magazines, so we are introducing you to Dear Mystika as part of our new regular dragony aunt feature!
The 1970s are really important to us as this was the decade of the helpline – where volunteers from the LGBTQ+ community were able to set up some of the first support services that we know, love and still need today. Author Elizabeth Lovatt tells us all about her homage to the The Lesbian Line in a special interview.
We also spend a time in 2025 with LGBTQ+ foodies Lorna McNee and James Dewar and punk Dylan Wilson, plus much much more!
